What is the Data Lake?
The PeakMetrics Data Lake is a centralized repository that stores all the media data we’ve collected and enriched over time. It serves as the foundation for your queries, analyses, and dashboards — giving you access to a vast collection of media mentions, narratives, entities, and more. How Queries Work
When you run a query in the PeakMetrics platform, it searches against what already exists in the Data Lake. This means you’re pulling insights from content that has already been collected, processed, and structured by our system. Think of it like a digital archive: your searches surface insights from what’s already been captured, and includes keywords, channels, and authors that we are consistently monitoring.Need to Expand the Data Lake?
If you’d like to monitor additional keywords, authors, or timeframesnot currently reflected in your results, that content may not yet be in the Data Lake. In these cases, we can help expand the coverage — just reach out to your account representative to discuss your goals. Your account rep will guide you through:- Evaluating what’s currently covered
- Identifying gaps or new areas of interest
- Scoping a plan to ingest new data as needed
Summary
- Your queries search against existing data in the Data Lake.
