Detection Methodology
Image Detection Reality Defender utilizes an Image Detector Ensemble that aggregates results from four distinct models to generate a comprehensive fakeness score:- Diffusion Model - Identifies fake images created using diffusion methods.
- Faceswaps Model - Detects facial manipulations from face-swapping techniques.
- GANs Model - Identifies artificially generated or manipulated faces.
- Visual Noise Analysis - Examines texture inconsistencies to detect fake images.
Language Support
- Reality Defender currently only processes English-language content.
Image Dependency
- The tool requires thumbnails with faces to function properly.
- If a mention lacks a thumbnail or the thumbnail does not contain a recognizable face, Reality Defender will not be able to process it.
Thumbnail Absence
- If a mention does not include a thumbnail, the scan cannot be performed.
