What is MCP?
Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that allows AI assistants to securely connect to external data sources and tools. With PeakMetrics MCP, your AI assistant can access:- Real-time narrative intelligence and threat detection
- Workspace data and mentions across multiple channels
- Threat scores and narrative analysis
- Custom summaries and reports
- PeakMetrics data alongside your internal data and reports
Example Usage
Once configured, you can interact with PeakMetrics directly through your AI assistant:- “Show me the most threatening narratives about [topic] in my PeakMetrics workspace”
- “Summarize the activity about [workspace name] over the last 7 days”
- “Which social accounts are posting the most unfavorable content about my brand, and how large is their reach?”
- “Draft a report for [stakeholder name] using this week’s PeakMetrics data based on the latest report saved in Google Drive”
Core Concepts
You will be able to access the same data from your PeakMetrics workspaces through the MCP server that you can access in the PeakMetrics dashboard
Workspaces
A Workspace defines a segment of the media ecosystem you’re interested in analyzing and is comprised of all related mentions. Typical workspaces represent:- A company (e.g., “Home Depot”)
- A key executive
- An industry or topic (e.g., “Artificial Intelligence”)
- A group of sources or geographic region
Mentions
A Mention is a piece of content written by an author, promoted by a publisher, and released on a domain as part of a channel. Mentions are the fundamental data units in PeakMetrics.Narratives
Narratives are AI-generated groupings of related mentions that share a common theme or topic. Each narrative includes:- AI-generated title and summary
- Mention count and sentiment analysis
- Relevancy scoring
- User-assigned tags
Channels
PeakMetrics monitors content across multiple channels:- News
- Social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky)
- Video platforms (YouTube, TikTok)
- Discussion platforms (Reddit, Telegram)
- International platforms (VK, Weibo)
- Blogs and discussions
Security
- All requests are authenticated with your PeakMetrics account, securely handled through OAuth
- You can revoke access at any time from your MCP client settings
