What is managed attribution?

Managed attribution allows you to control and customize your digital identity and footprint while using PeakMetrics. It ensures that your online presence remains private and secure by managing factors such as IP address, location, device type, browser, and user behavior. This is particularly useful for customers who prioritize anonymity and operational security.

Why is managed attribution important?

At PeakMetrics, we understand that some customers prefer not to share their personal information with the sources we track. For example, when you click on a mention card, your IP address is typically sent to the original source. Managed Attribution prevents this by safeguarding your identity and maintaining your privacy.

How does it work?

When PeakMetrics identifies a public URL related to a mention, we use specialized technology to convert the URL into a PDF. This process involves loading the URL, downloading the page as a PDF, and displaying it within the platform. Your information never reaches the original site, ensuring complete privacy.

How can you enable Managed Attribution?

Activating Managed Attribution is simple and can be done by contacting your Account Representative or support@peakmetrics.com.Once enabled, your online activities within the platform will be automatically protected.

Are there any limitations?

While Managed Attribution enhances privacy and security, it does not work for the following sources:
  • Reddit: Reddit blocks the technology used to download pages as PDFs. Your data address will still not be shared.
  • YouTube: Viewing videos in a PDF format is not supported, making it less effective for video content. Your data address will still not be shared.

Managed Attribution is a valuable feature designed to give you peace of mind while using PeakMetrics. For further assistance, please reach out to our Customer Success team!
