# Historic Mentions

> We know that looking at historic mentions can be vital for your analysis.

When you create a workspace in PeakMetrics, you'll immediately see content returning within your dashboard.

There are a few things to keep in mind around how PeakMetrics is ingesting data:

**1. News & Blogs:** Three months historic information populates automatically. You can use the date filters to dive into a 5 years of historic news data.

**3. Social Channels:** Mentions will begin to populate comprehensively from the moment that you create your query and forward. If you create a social media workspace and no content populates, it means that we will need to complete the backfill process.

**What is the backfill process?**

When you'd like to see additional historic data over social channels, please reach out to your Account Representative or to [support@peakmetrics.com](mailto:support@peakmetrics.com) with the requested channel, query, and workspace name. This request will take \~24 hours to return your desired content.
